Environmental Impact + Sustainability Statement

Environmental Impact Statement

At Lunescape, we recognise the fashion industry’s impact on the environment—and we understand our responsibility to help shape a more sustainable future. While we are still in the early stages of measuring our exact footprint, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through thoughtful, ongoing changes in how we design, source, and operate.

Commitment to Responsible Growth

We are actively building the foundations of a more sustainable business. As we grow, we are assessing each step of our supply chain and operations to identify opportunities to lessen our environmental footprint. This includes how our materials are sourced, how our garments are produced, and how they move through the world.

Low-Impact Materials

Whenever possible, we choose materials with a lower environmental impact—such as organic, recycled, upcycled, or responsibly sourced fibres. We are gradually increasing the share of preferred materials in our collections, prioritising durability and longevity to reduce the need for replacement over time.

Smarter Production

We work in limited production runs to reduce excess and avoid waste. We also seek out partners who prioritise responsible manufacturing, particularly those committed to reducing water use, energy consumption, and material waste.

Packaging & Distribution

We are reviewing our packaging practices to identify more sustainable solutions and are working toward fully recyclable or compostable materials. We are also exploring ways to reduce emissions associated with shipping and logistics, including consolidating deliveries and avoiding unnecessary air freight.

Toward Circularity

We design with longevity in mind—prioritising quality materials, timeless construction, and wearability across seasons.

In parallel, we’re building the foundations for a circular approach, with initiatives that support care, repair, and long-term use. We are currently developing initiatives to extend the lifecycle of our products—including garment care guidance, repair resources, and a future take-back program.

Our long-term goal is to help close the loop on textile waste by enabling our community to keep garments in use for longer.

Sustainability

At Lunescape, we’re building a future-focused fashion brand—one that balances beauty, responsibility, and care. While we know there’s more work to do, we are committed to making thoughtful, meaningful progress toward a lower-impact business.

We approach sustainability as a long-term responsibility—integrated into our decision-making wherever possible and evolving as we grow.

Conscious Design

We design with intention: timeless silhouettes, quality craftsmanship, and pieces made to be worn, kept, and loved. By focusing on durability and seasonless design, we aim to reduce waste and encourage more considered wardrobes.

Materials & Sourcing

We prioritise sustainable and low-impact materials whenever we can, and we continue to expand their use across our collections.

  • Organic & Natural Fibres: We incorporate certified organic cotton and other responsibly grown fibres where available.

  • Recycled Textiles: We use select recycled materials to reduce dependence on virgin resources and keep existing textiles in circulation.

  • Innovative Alternatives: We explore new fabric technologies—plant-based, upcycled, and regenerative—to support more sustainable innovation.

Not every item meets these criteria yet—but each season, we increase the number of pieces that do.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

We choose to work with production partners who reflect our values. This means aligning on ethical labour standards, safe working environments, and lower-impact processes—particularly around water, energy, and waste.

We also limit production volumes to avoid overproduction and build long-term supplier relationships based on shared progress.

Looking Forward

We are committed to transparency and will continue to evolve our environmental practices as our capabilities grow.

Our environmental strategy is built for scale—intended to grow in depth and transparency as our brand evolves. While formal impact reporting is not yet in place, our internal systems are being shaped to support future tracking, target-setting, and third-party validation.

Progress may take time, but our direction is clear—and we’re committed to building an operation that is as considered as the pieces we create.
