The Science of Numerology - Part 2 (Pythagorean Numerology)
In Part 1, we discussed the numerology of the Pythagorean system. Here in Part 2, we'll take a look at the numerology of the Chaldean system.
Pythagorean Numerology
In Pythagorean numerology, the sum of your whole name is calculated. This includes your first name, your last name, and any middle names you have. For example, if your full name is John Smith, your sum would be 1+5+3+1+8=19. The Elements
The first thing to do is to find out your Life Path Number. The Life Path Number is the sum of your date of birth and the month of your birth. For example, if you were born on October 10, 1985, your Life Path Number would be 10+10+1985=2981. The next step is to find out which element you are. You can figure this out by looking at your name. If your name begins with a letter from the first half of the alphabet (A-L), you are an Air sign. If your name begins with a letter from the second half of the alphabet (M-Z), you are a Water sign. If you have a name that doesn't fit into either category, you are an Earth sign.
The Zodiac Signs
The zodiac signs are a way to describe the 12 different personality types that exist in the world. Each sign is a representation of a particular constellation, and each constellation has its own unique traits. The four elements of fire, earth, air, and water also have a connection with the zodiac signs. For example, people born under the sign of Aries are said to be ruled by the element of fire.
The Numbers
In Pythagorean numerology, the numbers one, two, three and four are considered “yin” numbers, while five, six, seven and eight are considered “yang” numbers. Yin numbers are passive and feminine while yang numbers are active and masculine. The number nine is considered a “master number” which combines the qualities of both yin and yang.
