French Pink Clay can be used to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create and overall refreshed appearance. It can also be used to treat acne and other skin ailments; poor blood and/or lymph circulation and sun damaged skin.

Appearance: Fine rose/pink colored powder.

Application: French Pink Clay can be used in detoxifying body wraps, soap making, face masks, mineral based or cream based cleansers, face or body scrubs, cosmetics and facial powder.

What is it exactly? French Pink Clay is a combination of red and white clays. It is considered to be the mildest of all the clays and works well for normal, sensitive and mature skin types. Its unique composition includes Kaolinite, Iron, Illite, Montmorillonite and Calcite.

RECIPES

Soothing Face Mask Recipe: Combine 1 oz of clay to 3 tbsp of water, add 1 tsp of jojoba oil and 2 drops of chamomile essential oil to form a paste. Apply to the skin and leave for about 10 minutes and wash off with warm water. Floral water or aloe vera gel juice can be substituted for water.

Foaming Baths and Shampoos Recipe: Add 5-10% of clays to product. Simply sprinkle the clay in, allowing it to settle. Always shake before use as the Clay sinks to the bottom.

Celebrating ancient traditions passed down from mother to daughter, this women's cooperative deep in the mountains of Thailand are part-time plant based dyers and part-time farmers. They celebrate the land and all its offerings. We choose plant based dyes not only for the beautiful colors they produce, but to preserve the waterways & land.

REFUGEES OF MYANMAR

In partnership with WEAVE - a passionate non-profit based in Mae Hong Son, Thailand provides education, art therapy, organic farming & artisan workshops to provide opportunities to women inside the camps help build skill sets in handicrafts to self sustain and generate income, they otherwise would not be able to make.

WEAVERS OF CHATAI

The weavers handcraft each item using fallen bamboo leaves, hand dyeing and creating intricate patterns with a beautiful, durable and useful range of products.

ARTISANS OF DEHLI

This women's cooperative focuses on providing education and opportunities to women in the community where they are empowered earning dignified and living wages - many for the first time ever.

LOOMS OF KATHMANDU

Based in the capital of Nepal, our partners in Kathmandu practice the ancient tradition of handloom creating our gorgeous throw blankets under a completely sustainable facility.
